Cincinnati man dies after being ejected from motorcycle, hit by Tesla on SR-133

BATAVIA — A man was killed after his motorcycle crashed and ejected him across a Clermont County highway Sunday morning.

The Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol were dispatched to state Route 133 in Williamsburg Township at around 12:07 a.m. on reports of a multi-vehicle crash, a spokesperson for the agency stated.

As state troopers arrived, they found a man lying unconscious on the edge of the highway. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clermont County Coroner’s Office.

Charles Bishop, 29, of Cincinnati, was identified as the deceased victim following the investigation.

The investigation revealed that a 2017 Harley Davidson Softail Breakout, operated by Bishop, was traveling southbound on state Route 133 when it traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned. Bishop was thrown from the motorcycle to the edge of the roadway. He laid there unconscious.

A 2018 Tesla Model 3 then hit Bishop while traveling northbound on the route.

None of the five people inside the Tesla reported injuries.

The Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol led the ongoing investigation into the deadly crash.

The Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, Bethel Fire Department & EMS, and Williamsburg Fire Department & EMS assisted with the crash scene.
