Cincinnati City Council approves plans for Bengals indoor practice facility

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati City Council has voted to approve plans submitted by the Bengals for an indoor practice facility near Paul Brown Stadium

According to our news partners at WCPO-TV in Cincinnati, the approval allowed the Bengals to use the even acres on Mehring Way as an interim indoor practice facility while being mindful of certain development regulations limitations.

Those regulations and limitations include flooding, the riverfront district and zoning regulations for the area that could prevent development, according to WCPO.

The proposal calls for a removable inflatable air dome, which will house a regulation-sized turn practice field.

The Bengals submitted an application to the Cincinnati Planning Commission on April 4.

Cincinnati is one of the very few NFL teams that do not have an indoor practice facility.

The application did not say how much the project would cost.
