Ty’s Christmas Wish drops off 3,000 toys to Dayton Children’s patients

A fifth-grader is making sure patients at Dayton Children’s Hospital have a merry Christmas.

Ty Fugate of the program Ty’s Christmas Wish dropped off about 3,000 toys Monday.

Ty started the program four years ago after he spent one Christmas sick at Dayton Children’s.

“Since I was sick over here, I really wanted them to have a nice Christmas while their parents are not here,” he said.
