Centerville man, accused of recording naked teen girl, indicted on charges

CENTERVILLE — UPDATE @ 2:30 p.m. (May 7): 

A Centerville man was indicted on charges Monday for allegedly recording a 16-year-old girl showering in a bathroom, court records indicate.

Hansley Edmond, 27, was indicted by a grand jury Monday on four counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance, according to court records.

Edmond remains booked in the Montgomery County Jail Monday, according to jail records. His arraignment in court is scheduled for May 10.

A Centerville man is facing felony charges after police said he allegedly recorded a 16-year-old girl showering in a bathroom, according to court records.

Hansley Edmond, 27, is charged with four counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance and two counts of voyeurism, records show.

Officers responded to an apartment on Fireside Drive on March 22 on a report Edmond had previously taken explicit photos of the teen, according to a statement of facts filed in Kettering Municipal Court.

“Responding officers were informed that (the teen) had seen nude videos on Edmond’s phone of herself in the shower that were taken unbeknownst to her,” court records showed.

While investigating, police found two holes in the bathroom, where cameras were likely placed to record the videos, police wrote in the statement of facts.

We contacted Centerville police about the case, however Officer John Davis declined comment since the alleged crime involved a juvenile victim.

After search warrants were conducted on Edmond’s Google account, three separately dated videos of the teen were located, the court document read.

“The videos show the juvenile in the nude getting into the shower,” court records revealed.

According to court records, “Edmond admitted to installing a camera in the bathroom to use as a light and he admitted to knowledge of one video and claimed that this was an accident.”

We’ve reached out to Edmond’s attorney for comment, however have not heard back.

Edmond remained in the Montgomery County Jail on Wednesday on a $50,000 bond and was awaiting a May 7 preliminary hearing, records showed.
