Centerville crash injures 3, hospitalizes at least 1

CENTERVILLE — Three people were injured following a three-vehicle crash in Centerville early Friday morning.

Centerville police and Washington Township fire and medics were dispatched to the intersection of East Alex Bell Road and Far Hills Avenue at around 5:20 a.m. on reports of an injury crash, Centerville Dispatch stated.

When emergency responders arrived, they discovered three people requiring medical attention following a three-vehicle crash, dispatch continued. At least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Dispatch was unaware of how many were transported and to where. The severity of their condition is also unknown.

Prior to officers arriving, a man, who was involved in the crash, allegedly ran south from the site towards Southminster Presbyterian Church, according to initial traffic on emergency scanners. It is currently unknown why the man chose to run.

Centerville police led the investigation into the crash.
