Four candidates for Butler Twp.’s police chief will be interviewed today during a special meeting and a decision on who will be appointed could be made this month, according to officials.
The following individuals will be interviewed for the position:
- Robert Chabali, Retired Assistant Chief of Police at the Dayton Police Department
- Christopher Guthrie, Lieutenant at Butler Township Police Department
- John Porter, Deputy Chief of Police at Trotwood Police Department
- Thomas Thompson, Assistant Chief of Police at Miamisburg Police Department
All four candidates will be interviewed by the township trustees during tonight’s meeting, which will enter executive session for the interviewing process.
Township Administrator Erika Vogel said a final decision will not be made tonight, however another special meeting most likely will be held sometime this month to appoint the Chief of Police.
