12 people in custody after search warrants executed in federal drug trafficking ring

A dozen people are in custody after 17 search warrants were executed in connection to a federal drug trafficking investigation.

The Department of Justice Southern District of Ohio announce more than a dozen indictments Thursday morning.

The 19 people indicted are accused of trafficking large amounts of heroin, fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine, said U.S. Attorney Benjamin Glassman.

The following people were indicted in the case:

  • Crawford P. Bogle,  33, of Dayton
  • Savon P. Pope, 26, of Dayton
  • Deshawn M. Harris, 32, of Phoenix, Arizona and Dayton
  • Kris A. Bogle, 49, of Dayton
  • Bryan K. Barney, 36, of Dayton
  • Lajuan M. Allen, 32, of Dayton
  • Donte (Deontay) A. Williams, 28, of Dayton
  • Marshall A. Cooper, 32, of Dayton
  • Jujuan D. Hansbro, 26, of Dayton
  • Qeuntin L. Robinson, 35, of Huber Heights
  • Dorian T. Bailey, 32, of Dayton
  • Storm A. Otey, 28, of Dayton
  • Dae-Sean L. Winn, 21, of Dayton
  • Jerome Bogle, 52, of Dayton
  • Brandon Henry, 33, of Dayton
  • Boyd D. Jackson, 63, of Middletown
  • Lisa N. Sumpter, 34, of Middletown
  • Kimberly L. Kelly, 25, of Dayton
  • Allen C.M. Maye, 39, of Dayton

Kris Bogle, Hansbro, Bailey, Winn, Jerome Bogle and Jackson are still at large.

Eight of the 19 suspects were arrested this morning, four were already in custody and one turned themself in.

Among those in custody include the two alleged leaders of the drug ring, Crawford Bogle and Savon Pope.

While the operation was based in Dayton, Glassman said it extended into other communities, including Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia and Arizona.

“This kind of activity involving fentanyl and other drugs is deadly activity,” said Glassman.

“We’ve got this full organization here,” he said. “I think it’s fair to say it’s among the most significant drug trafficking organizations in this region, but we’re not going to stop until we have the ultimate sources of supply wherever they may be.”

INITIAL REPORT:

An alleged narcotics conspiracy in the Dayton-area has resulted with 19 people facing federal charges, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Arrests were made in the area this morning, DOJ officials said in a media release.

Federal investigators will release more details about the charges and arrests during a news conference at 1:30 p.m. at the federal courthouse in Dayton.
