Schade identified the man as 44-year-old James Campbell who had been reported missing January 24.

This was connected to a car crash that happened January 22, according to Schade. When crews got to the crash, they did not find anyone and they did not have good information on who could have been driving the car.

“We feel that Mr. Campbell left the scene, and somehow got 1.3 miles away from the car where he was then found last Thursday,” Schade said.

He said investigators have ruled out foul play.
