Bill’s Donut Shop gets ready to ship out donations for Kentucky flooding

CENTERVILLE — Bill’s Donut Shop in Centerville is sending off donated supplies that will be sent to those impacted by the flooding in Kentucky.

Today the shop will be sending off its first truck of donated supplies to Jackson, Kentucky, to help with recovery efforts after major flooding hit the area.

The shop will be continuing to accept new donations now until Friday.

The following items are needed:

  • Cleaning supplies
  • Rubber gloves
  • Rubber boots
  • Shovels
  • Trash bags
  • Disinfectant
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Soap
  • Baby supplies
  • Diapers and wipes
  • New socks and underwear
  • Paper products
  • Personal hygiene products
  • Deodorants

“Whenever something catastrophic like this happens, people call us to see if we are going,” said co-owner of Bill’s Donuts Lisa Tucker.

Dayton Children’s Hospital donated a truck and a driver and will be delivering more donations Friday.
