Biden’s inauguration speech written by Miami Valley native

The first address Joe Biden gave as President during his inauguration on Wednesday has direct ties to the Miami Valley.

The President’s speech was written by Vinay Reddy. Reddy, the Director of Speechwriting for the Biden administration, grew up in Dayton and was a student at Miami University.

Reddy is no stranger to working with President Biden; he served as Chief Speechwriter during his second term as vice president. Reedy most recently served as a speechwriter for the Biden-Harris transition team.

He also previously worked as a speechwriter for Ohio U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown.
