UPDATE @ 9:20 a.m. Dec. 4

Adam “Pacman” Jones apologized to Bengals’ fans after he was released from jail this morning, according to a report from our news partner, WCPO-Cincinnati.

The Bengals cornerback was ordered to stay overnight at the Hamilton County Justice Center as he awaited a court-ordered blood test, according to WCPO’s report.

Jones stopped to talk to a reporter as he was released and reportedly stated, “I’m sorry that this happened, and it’d be different for beating people’s a**, but for touching someone, come on."

UPDATE @ 11:28 a.m. Jan. 3

Adam “Pacman” Jones appeared in court and denied charges stemming from his arrest early this morning.

Jones asserted that he has witnesses who will help him debunk allegations that he pushed a man and poked him in the eye.

Court documents allege that Jones head-butted an officer as he was being arrested and spat on a nurse’s hand when being processed into the Hamilton County Justice Center.

A Bengals’ spokesperson said they are working to gather more information about what happened, and that it’s the team’s policy that it's “inappropriate for the club to comment on unresolved legal matters.”
