TRENTON, Butler County — An area school district has announced that it will be closed for the rest of the week.

Edgewood City Schools posted the announcement to social media after 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

The district said the closure is due to “a high percentage of absences and insufficient staff.”
An employee with the district’s administrative offices told News Center 7 that it is likely related to illnesses.
Students will return to school on Monday, Feb. 10.
