Coroner’s office identifies 5 killed in massive Dayton house fire earlier this month

DAYTON — The names of the five people who died in a massive fire in Dayton earlier this month have been identified, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

Five people are confirmed to have died after a vacant house caught fire in the 500 block of North Broadway Street during the early morning hours on March 8.

The names of the people identified by the coroner’s office are:

  • Andrew Miller, 30
  • Christopher Hermann, 41
  • Laura Sears, 37
  • Brittany Lee Alsup, 33
  • Chrisinda Jo Ray Freeman, 40

The cause and manner of each death has not yet been determined, the coroner’s office said.
