2 killed, 4 wounded; Police ID victims in Columbus nightclub shooting

COLUMBUS — Two people died and four others were injured following a shooting in Columbus early Saturday morning.

Columbus Police were dispatched at around 5:10 a.m. to a nightclub at the 1500 block of South High Street on reports of a shooting, WBNS reported.

Officers discovered five people suffering gunshot wounds when they arrived, a spokesperson for the Columbus Division of Police said.

One of the victims, Antwaun Artis, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:18 a.m.

The other four victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment and are in stable condition, according to WBNS.

A fifth victim, a male adult, walked into Nationwide Children’s Hospital with a gunshot wound, a Columbus Police spokesperson said.

Jayden Peacock, 22, was pronounced dead at the hospital Saturday morning just after 6 a.m., WBNS reports.

No arrests have been made and the shooting remains under investigation.

Columbus Police have not released any additional information about a possible suspect, according to WBNS.
