16-month-old child dead after being run over by car in Randolph County

RANDOLPH COUNTY — A 16-month-old child is dead after being run over by a car in Randolph County, Indiana.

According to a release by Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, crews were called to a child run over by a truck around 7:10 p.m. Saturday.

An initial investigation found that the father of the child was in the barn working when he went to pull the utility truck out of the barn.

The child was in front of the truck but out of view of the driver.

The child was accidentally run over by the truck, according to the sheriff’s office.

He was pronounced dead on scene by the Randolph County Coroner’s office.
