DAYTON — Montgomery County will be hosting its 12th annual Food Summit today at Sinclair Community College’s Great Hall on W. Third Street.
The program will take place from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m., according to a county spokesperson.
The event’s purpose is to bring together industry experts, government agencies, business and restaurant owners to, “discuss ideas and solutions to decrease food insecurity and increase the availability and affordability of healthy food.”
Nonprofits and agricultural professionals will also be in attendance.
This year’s theme is, “Beyond the Plate, Celebrating Cultures in the Kitchen.”
Among those in attendance will be County Commissioner Judy Dodger, U.S. Ambassador Tony Hall and Public Health-Dayton & Montgomery Health Commissoner Jennifer Wentzel.
