100+ jobs leaving Sidney in March following plant closure

SIDNEY — Ross Casting & Innovation is permanently closing all operations at its casting division in March, impacting over 100 jobs in the Sidney area.

According to a notice filed with the state, the company is expected to permanently layoff 107 employees at the location on South Kuther Road.

“The company expects to eliminate these positions beginning March 5,” said Sampath Ramesh, President of Ross Casting & Innovation. “The company will ensure that employees will be paid all earned wages and agreed upon benefits at the time of their termination.”

The jobs being eliminated include machine shop workers, plaster mold makers, auditors/inspectors and other positions.

The notice filed with the state did not say why the business was closing the plant.
