MONROE TOWNSHIP — One person has been taken to the hospital after a crash on Ginghamsburg-Frederick Road in Monroe Township around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday.
According to a sergeant with the Miami County Sheriff’s office, the vehicle was traveling southbound on Gighamsburg-Frederick Road when it went off the right side of the road and overcorrected.

It then struck a utility pole and a tree. Deputies do suspect alcohol to be a factor.
The driver’s injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
