SHELBY COUNTY — A person was hospitalized after their vehicle crashed in Shelby County early Tuesday morning.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and the Maplewood Fire Department responded to an injury crash at 5:16 a.m. near the intersection of state Route 47 and Baker Road, dispatchers for the sheriff’s office said.
When deputies arrived on scene, they described that a single vehicle crashed and caused injuries to its occupant. As a result, medics responded to the scene.
A person was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. The severity of their condition was unknown at the time of reporting.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office led the investigation into the crash.
