1 dead after house fire in Warren County; Family member treated after trying to save victim

WARREN COUNTY — One person is dead after a house fire in Warren County Tuesday morning.

The fire broke out before 9 a.m. in a home on SR-48 near Turtlecreek Township, according to our news partners at WCPO.

Brian Elleman, assistant chief of the Turtlecreek Township Fire Department, said he believed the person killed in the fire was found on the second floor of the two-story home, WCPO reported.

A family member who tried to save the person from the fire was treated for smoke inhalation, Elleman said.

The fire was reportedly knocked down in 10 to 15 minutes, but the left side of the home was heavily damaged from the fire.

The fire is still under investigation at this time.
