VIDEO: Sidney man arrested after SUV smashes into gas station during argument; woman seriously hurt

SIDNEY — A woman was taken to the hospital and a man was arrested after police said he drove through a Clark gas station in Sidney Thursday night during an argument.

Sidney police said officers were sent out to a disturbance at the corner of West Avenue and Court Street around 10:35 p.m.

“After that turned physical out in the parking lot, the vehicle then backed up and then rammed in through the glass doors of the Clark gas station,” said Sidney Police Chief William Balling.

Marques White, 19, of Sidney, is charged with felonious assault after investigators said he drove through the gas station and hit a woman.

“They knew each other and had prior relationship issues,” Balling said. “It definitely got out of hand.”

Video obtained by News Center 7 shows the SUV smashing through the entry way and hitting several other people before striking the woman.

The woman who was hit was seriously injured and a medical helicopter was called to take her to the hospital, Balling said.

The gas station remained open after the incident.

White had his bond set at $100,000 Friday morning and he has been ordered to stay 500 feet away from the victim and her home. His arraignment was continued to allow him time to find an attorney, court records show.
