WATCH: John Legend’s nephew releases new song, video featuring Grammy winning uncle

SPRINGFIELD — John Legend’s nephew, Te’Vaun Stephens, who performs under the name Tay Da Prince, released a new song featuring his Grammy winning uncle.

The song is called Love One Another.

“The reaction has been wonderful,” said Stephens. “They say this is the song we need for this time.”

The music video features celebrities like his uncle John Legend, Jesse Jackson, and Dionne Warwick.

Stephens told News Center 7′s Jenna Lawson that he wanted to use this song to give back to his hometown.

“I care for the people,” said Stephens. “I understand that people are in need right now.”

Through the Springfield-based ‘Love One Another’ Foundation, a portion of the proceeds from song downloads and Love Another merchandise go directly to Feeding America and Second Harvest Food Bank.

The Second Harvest Food Bank has served more than 30,000 people in Clark, Champaign, and Logan counties.

“Anyone giving, donating, assisting us in any way, it’s going to allow us to spread that love and joy and hope that we can get through this together,” said Tyra Jackson from the food bank.
