FBI searches home in Springboro neighborhood

Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation searched a home in Springboro Wednesday, but no details of the investigation are being released.

Neighbors in the 8800 block of Tanglewood Drive were alarmed to see FBI surrounding one of their suburban homes.

Unmarked vehicles were observed parked near the home as what appeared to be undercover officers wearing rubber gloves were conducting a search inside.

FBI Spokesman Todd Lindgren said agents were serving a sealed federal search warrant and conducting a search.

No further details are being released at this time, Lindgren said.

One resident in the area described seeing armed agents surrounding the house.

Neighbors watching the activity posted their observations and speculations on a community Facebook page.

Some witnesses noted that an agent brought out clear plastic drinking water containers.

We’re working to learn more about the investigation.
