Dayton woman indicted on two counts of involuntary manslaughter in overdose death

MONTGOMERY COUNTY — A Dayton woman has been indicted for the overdose death of a Riverside man.

Whitney Taylor McCormick, 31, is accused of selling drugs to Clinton M. Williams, 39, on the day of his overdose, according to Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck, Jr.

On April 11, 2021, police and medics were dispatched to the 3600 block of Hillstone Place on a report of an overdose. Williams was found unresponsive and transported to the hospital where he later died.

An autopsy found cocaine and fentanyl in Williams’ system and determined Williams died as a result of an overdose.

McCormick is currently in custody in the Montgomery County Jail on a $1 million bond. She is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at 8:30 a.m.

The Montgomery County Grand Jury indicted her on the following charges:

  • Two counts of Involuntary Manslaughter
  • Two counts of Corrupting Another with Drugs
  • One count of Trafficking in Fentanyl‐Related Compound
  • One count of Trafficking in Cocaine
  • One count of Trafficking in Drugs
