Units were called to the SVG Motors dealership on Shoup Mill Road around 7:30 a.m. Friday after receiving reports that at least one, and possibly several cars were taken sometime during the overnight hours from the dealership, dispatch records indicate.

“We’ve been broken into at the dealership overnight, there are cars missing,” an employee at the dealership said in a 911 call obtained by News Center 7 in a public records request.

“The bay doors are standing wide open, one car that was blocking that door has been moved. The Dodge (Charger) that was in the middle is missing,” the caller said.

A sheriff’s office investigation later found only one vehicle, a 2018 Dodge Charger SRT Scat Pack edition, was stolen from the dealership, deputies said in a media release later Friday morning.

Our crew observed a broken glass door at the dealership while deputies were collecting evidence and processing the scene.

Deputies did not say how many suspects or people of interest they are looking for in connection to the break-in and car theft. An employee of the dealership declined to comment to our crew.

Additional details were not released. We’ll update this story as we learn more.
