Traffic stop in Riverside leads to discovery of shooting victim

RIVERSIDE — Police stopping a speeding vehicle discovered that the driver of that vehicle had been shot.

The vehicle was stopped on Warrendale Avenue in Riverside, but the victim told police he had been shot in the area of Old Troy Pike and Pennswood Drive, possibly near a business, according to police.

The victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with injuries that are not considered life threatening.
