Police, medics called to reported shooting on Otterbein Avenue in Dayton

DAYTON — Dayton police are investigating reports of a person shot near the intersection of Otterbein Avenue and Stanford Place Thursday, according to initial reports.

Officers and medics were dispatched to the shooting report just before noon Thursday.

The condition of the victim was not immediately known.

Emergency scanner traffic indicates one person was taken into custody on Harold Drive after a foot pursuit shortly after the shooting was reported. It was not immediately known if the person taken into custody was connected to the shooting investigation.
