The child was pronounced dead, prompting police to launch a death investigation.

The cause and manner of the child’s death has not been officially determined by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. Police are awaiting the coroner’s report to proceed with their investigation, Turner said.

No arrests have been made and charges have not been filed, Turner said. Police are also continuing to conduct interviews in their investigation.

The identity of the child was not released and is also pending completion of the coroner’s office report, according to Turner.

Additional details were not released. We’ll continue to update this story as new information becomes available.
