TROY — UPDATE @ 1:21 p.m.:
Seven people were transported to area hospitals after a crash on I-75 in Troy Wednesday morning.
The accident was initially reported around 6 a.m. when a Chrysler Pacifica van failed to maintain enough distance and hit the back of a semi on Northbound 75 near State Route 41, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The van then went off the road and hit the concrete median wall.

The driver of the van, Ryan Cameron, 28, an unidentified female passenger and three children ages 5 months to 12 years old, all from Michigan, were transported to Upper Valley Medical Center with minor injuries. Michelle Kuttner, 55, also from Michigan, was flown to Miami Valley Hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the semi, Jesse Wooten, 36, Springfield, was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
UPDATE @ 7:47 a.m.:
At least four people were taken to Upper Valley Medical Center after an accident on Northbound Interstate 75 in Miami County Wednesday morning, according to the Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
One person is in critical condition while one sustained minor injuries, state troopers tell our news crew on scene. Two other people were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
The accident was initially reported at 6:08 a.m. when a van hit the back of a semi on Northbound 75 past state Route 41, according to scanner traffic.
All lanes are back open.

At least three people have been taken to the hospital following a crash Wednesday morning on Northbound Interstate 75 in Miami County, according to the Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The accident was reported around 6:08 a.m. and the left two lanes are blocked on Northbound 75 past State Route 41.
At least three people were transported to Upper Valley Medical Center, dispatchers told News Center 7. Their status is unknown at this time.
Our crew at the scene reports one vehicle was involved in the crash.
