MASON — Some Kings Island guests experienced delays in getting into the park Monday morning following a police investigation at the park involving a driver who fled from the scene of a crash, according to a spokesperson for the amusement park.

The incident started with deputies attempting to stop a vehicle that was reported stolen on Interstate 71 near the Western Row Road overpass around 10:25 a.m. Monday.
Kings Island officials said after the vehicle crashed, the driver fled the scene and ran into an “unpopulated area” of the amusement park. The suspect, who has not been identified, was taken into custody without incident, the spokesperson said.
Guests to the amusement park experienced delays entering the park, however normal operations were allowed to resume.
