Two men from London, Ohio were arrested on Salem Avenue in Dayton Thursday evening when police say they were caught using heroin in a Walgreen's parking lot.
A patrolling officer spotted the pair parked in the lot of the pharmacy at 2710 Salem at about 5:30 p.m. and decided to investigate. According to the police incident report the parking lot is known to be popular for drug sales and use.
The officer reported that both men appeared nervous and were attempting to hide things on the floor of the car. The passenger had blood visibly dripping down his forearm causing the officer to believe, "he was in the process of shooting heroin when I approached him and quickly pulled the needle out."
When the officer had the passenger step out of the vehicle he found several needles, including one filled with suspected heroin, according to the report.
The passenger, Andrew Storck, 21, and driver, Isaac Mason, 22, were both booked into the Montgomery County Jail pending charges of possession of drugs and possession of drug abuse instruments.
According to the report, both men admitted to using heroin several times per week and said they drove to Dayton to buy and use the drug.
