Prunty had three children all younger than 10 years old.

Prunty’s mother, Patricia Beard, believes people in the area have information that could be useful to the case and she wants them to come forward.

“We are pleading with the public for information concerning the brutal murder of my daughter,” Beard said. “I believe someone has probably heard something … people talk.”

Springfield Police have a person of interest in the case, Detective Ronald Jordan said, but need more information to make an arrest.
