No arrests, charges after Kettering police, SWAT respond to ‘situation’

UPDATE @ 2 p.m. (July 23): 

Police and SWAT team officers responded to the area of Snowcloud Court Saturday for a welfare check.

Based on caller information and no response at the house, this incident was treated as a potential hostage situation, according to the Kettering Police Department.

Officers were eventually able to contact the occupants by phone and determined they not at this location.

Crews searched the house to verify and took a report for domestic violence, which is still under investigation.

No one has been arrested or charged at this time.

Police and SWAT team officers are on scene tonight in the area of Scottsdale and Oakdale drives.

Kettering police dispatch called the incident a “situation” and would not release any further details.
