Deputies: Woman shot at Creekside Townhomes in Harrison Twp.

HARRISON TWP. — UPDATE @ 8 p.m.

A deputy who heard gunshots led deputies to detain a man and get medical attention for a woman with a gunshot wound, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The deputy heard gunshots shortly before 12:30 p.m. coming from the 5200 block of Embassy Place, in Creekside Townhomes in Harrison Twp.

The woman, described as a 20-year-old, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Deputies did not release any information about potential suspects in the shooting.

A 24-year-old man was detained who was in possession of guns. His name was not released, however, Kenneth Wilson, 33, was arrested in the 5000 block of Embassy Place by sheriff’s deputies. He is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of carrying concealed weapons and receiving stolen property, online jail records show.

FIRST REPORT

Deputies and medics were called this afternoon to a report of a shooting near the corner of Embassy Place and Republic Drive.

A gunshot victim was found in the incident reported around 12:35 p.m.

According to initial reports, a suspect was in custody, but the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center was unable to confirm.

The victim’s name, age and condition were not available.
