The Butler County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as Claire Buckley, 72, and Frederick Buckley, 70.
Both died from gunshot wounds.
Frederick’s manner of death was listed as suicide, Claire’s was homicide.
As News Center 7 previously reported, deputies were called to the 4000 block of Hidden Oaks Lane around 3 p.m. after the resident’s son-in-law said he had not heard from them in a couple of days, according to our news partners at WCPO.

Deputies found Claire on a couch with a gunshot wound and Frederick on the living room floor, also with a gunshot wound.
Deputies also found a dead dog in the home’s living room.
Neighbors told our news partners at WCPO that the two had lived in the neighborhood for more than a dozen years.
“This is completely out of character. They’re very kind people with a very nice family, and I just can’t believe it,” a neighbor said, before sharing her immediate reaction to the news. “Like, ‘This is not true. Is there some other explanation? Why? What?’”
