DAYTON — A 29-year-old man arrested after a deadly crash on North Paul Laurence Dunbar Street in October has been indicted on a felony charge of vehicular homicide.
Jasmine McKinney, 19, of Dayton, died in the crash, according to Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent E. Harshbarger.
Donald Parrish was the driver in the crash reported around 1:30 a.m. Oct. 14 at Paul Laurence Dunbar and Edison streets, according to a Dayton crash report.
A 911 caller, who only identified himself as Donald, said he was in the car involved in the crash and was cut-off by another vehicle, sending the car he was in into a pole.
The crash report showed Parrish was driving south on Paul Laurence Dunbar at an unknown speed when he struck the west curb. He lost control and went across the intersection and hit a light pole, which caused McKinney to be thrown from the car. The car continued and hit a second light pole, before coming to a stop in the middle of Paul Laurence Dunbar.
Parrish is no longer in jail.
