Beginning on Thursday, Dec. 1st., the new Chick-fil-A on Bechtle Avenue near the Bechtle Crossing Shopping Mall will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry out services Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. through 10 p.m., according to a spokesperson with Chick-fil-A.

In honor of the Springfield location opening, Chick-fil-A will be donating $25 thousand to Feeding America, the spokesperson said in a media release shared with News Center 7. The funds will be distributed to partners within Dayton to aid in the fight against hunger.

Chick-fil-A Springfield will participate in the Shared Table Program, the spokesperson said. This program redirects extra food from the restaurant to give to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks or nonprofit organizations in need.

Additionally, 100 local heroes will be recognized for the impact they have made on the Springfield community with free Chick-fil-A for a year, the spokesperson said.

Chick-fil-A Inc. hired Cris Lopez to be the independent franchised owner and operator of the Springfield restaurant, the spokesperson said. The owners of Chick-fil-A restaurants live in the city in which they serve.
