HARRISON TWP. — The Memorial Day tornado outbreak caused a lot of damage, and now heavy rain is making the recovery process even more difficult for many Miami Valley homeowners.
A Harrison Township family built their house 51 years ago and have been working to make it a home for decades, the Jensvold family told News Center 7’s Molly Koweek.
The couple was already dealing with roof and window damage from the tornado, and this week, two ceilings came down under the weight of the heavy water.
In spite of setbacks and sleeping in recliners downstairs because their bedroom is damaged, the 75-year-old couple has managed to keep their optimism.
