2 flown to hospital after Fort Loramie house fire, 1 in serious condition

Two people were transported by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital where one is in good condition and the other in serious condition after being burned in a house fire in Fort Loramie around Saturday night.

When fire crews initially responded to the house on Miami Street, they found a large fire that had engulfed the home, starting initially in the garage. Personnel also found two burn victims.

They requested CareFlight transportation and mutual aid from multiple area fire departments. A second helicopter was later requested.

The burn victims, whose names were not released, were reportedly first taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney before being transported to Miami Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Fort Loramie fire crews responded to the scene of the fire again at around 6 a.m. due to reports that the fire had rekindled, requesting mutual aid from Minster, New Breman and Osgood fire departments. The rekindled fire was small, however, and the mutual aid request was canceled when crews arrived on scene.
