LIBERTY TOWNSHIP — Two people are dead after a reported murder-suicide in a Butler County neighborhood on Wednesday.

Deputies were called to the 4000 block of Hidden Oaks Lane around 3 p.m. after the resident’s son-in-law said he had not heard from them in a couple of days, according to our news partners at WCPO.

Deputies found a 72-year-old woman lying on a couch with a gunshot wound and a 70-year-old man dead on the living room floor, also with a gunshot wound.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the two.
Deputies also found a dead dog in the home’s living room.
