3 fishermen rescued from a retention pond on East River Road in Moraine

MORAINE — UPDATE @3:27 p.m.

Firefighters on scene of the open water rescue in Moraine say three people were fishing on the shore of a retention pond on East River Road when one walked into the water and got stuck.

The other two followed to help and all three became stuck, requiring crew assistance.

Reports indicate they are being evaluated by medics. Their current condition is unknown.

Three people have been rescued from a retention pond in the 2800 block of East River Road in Moraine, according to initial reports.
