Dayton police tell us the suspect, identified only as a man, was apprehended soon after the robbery was reported about 3:15 p.m.

Nothing was taken, the officers said.

Thursday’s crime is the second in a week involving a Rite Aid.

On Sept. 10, the Rite Aid at 2916 Linden Ave. was robbed by a man for narcotics. The suspect did not show a weapon and left the business in an unknown direction, according to regional dispatch.

Police at today’s crime scene said they could not comment on whether it is part of as many as six similar robberies of pharmacies in the region.

Dayton police have said a group of robbers that hit two drug stores on Sept. 6 may be responsible for those other robberies.

WHIO will update this developing report as we learn more.
