Coronavirus: Tanks bar and grill, longtime Dayton watering hole, has closed -- temporarily

DAYTON — Tanks Bar and Grill on Wayne Avenue in Dayton, a longtime watering hole for city residents, sports fans and University of Dayton students, has closed its doors until further notice.

On March 29, management said via Facebook, “Today is our last day until the restrictions for dine in our lifted. Dayton has been great! Be safe!”

Management said the decision to stay open was tough because of news reports that the peak of the coronavirus in Ohio was now being predicted to be sometime in the middle of May.

The bar and restaurant has been in business more than 30 years.
