CENTERVILLE — The Centerville Jazz Band filled the streets of Centerville and Washington Township with music Saturday afternoon.
The band began their parade at Tower Heights Middle School. They marched through several neighborhoods before making a loop back to the school. The band competitions have been canceled due to the pandemic.
News Center 7 talked to Natalie Nordin, a parent with a daughter who is a senior and a drum major in the band.
“You know it has been a hard year, you know for the band. But they’ve done an excellent job of keeping social distance. They have kept healthy and cause they wanted to keep their season going," she said.
The Centerville Jazz Band was invited to this year’s Macy’s Day Parade before it got canceled because of COVID-19. But they are planning to go next year.
