WRIGHT PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE—Another warm day is in the forecast with temperatures soaring back into the middle to upper 80s by late afternoon, according to Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell.

While most of the area will remain dry, there is a slight chance a pop-up storm could develop late in the day or early evening. With the humidity, it will feel more like the lower 90s this afternoon.

After a quiet night, clouds will be on the increase late Friday afternoon with scattered showers and storms developing. A cold front moving into the area will bring the threat for a few strong storms in the evening with damaging wind gusts being the main threat.
Storms will clear the area late Friday night with much cooler, fall-like air arriving in time for autumn to officially arrive Saturday.
