After a quiet night, clouds will be on the increase late Friday afternoon with scattered showers and storms developing. A cold front moving into the area will bring the threat for a few strong storms in the evening with damaging wind gusts being the main threat.

Storms will clear the area late Friday night with much cooler, fall-like air arriving in time for autumn to officially arrive Saturday.
