OVERNIGHT: Steady, heavy rain returns with a few embedded thunderstorms possible.

Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs says the flooding will continue, especially across the southern Miami Valley where more than two inches of rain has already occurred. And an additional 1 to 2 inches may fall with this final round. Creeks, streams, rivers and street flooding will be possible. Temperatures will briefly fall into the lower 40s early tonight then rise towards morning as winds pick up.

There may be a stray shower or flurry across the northern Miami Valley late afternoon into the evening as the system pulls away.

Winds during the day will ramp up with gusts peaking around 40-50 mph! This could lead to isolated power outages and tree damage.

Winds will slowly subside Saturday night. Temperatures will be dropping into the lower 30s with clearing skies by Sunday morning.

SUNDAY: Great Miami River and Mad River will continue to rise though the rain has ended. The sun returns Sunday with highs in the mid to upper 50s. A few rain showers may return Sunday night, but will have not additional impact.

MONDAY: A few showers early on Monday are possible then drying out with sun and clouds for the afternoon. Highs in the middle 50s.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny and pleasant. Highs around 50 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Highs in the low 50s with some sun.

THURSDAY: A dry start. A few rain showers possible. Highs nearing 60 degrees.

FRIDAY: Scattered showers likely otherwise cloudy with highs in the middle 60s.
