Three of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, KTRK reported. The fourth victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition but later died, according to the television station. A weapon was recovered at the scene, according to the television station.
Identities of the victims were not released, according to KPRC-TV. A motive for the shooting remains unclear.
“At first, I thought it was, you know, fireworks. But I was like, ‘No, those are not fireworks. Those are shots,’” resident Gladys Martinez told KTRK. “The last one was around my porch. So my husband comes in and tells me there’s a dead body right here. I was like, ‘What?’ So I come out, and I start calling 911.”
