AG’s office involved in homicide investigation of Alzheimer’s patient

A homicide investigation into the death of an Alzheimer’s patient who died while staying at a Miami Twp. facility now involves the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

Police said they met with the AG’s office last week about the death of Robert Winfield.

Police said the 80-year-old Winfield died last month after suffering head and neck injuries at the Wood Glen Alzheimer’s Community in October.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has not ruled on Winfield’s cause of death. Miami Twp. police have been investigating the case as a homicide.
