No injuries reported in crash involving train, minivan in Miamisburg

MIAMISBURG — A crash involving a train and a minivan is currently under investigation in Miamisburg.

The crash was reported around 2:24 p.m. in the area of Pearl Street, according to the Miami Valley Fire District.

Miamisburg police said in a social media post that they’re on scene and investigating the crash. Sergeant Jeff Muncy told News Center 7 that a single minivan was hit by the train and knocked onto its side.

Police noted that the train involved is a Norfolk Southern train.

The train is stopped in the middle of town. Police are asking drivers to use another road to travel east and west through the city.

No one was injured in the crash, according to Miamisburg Police Sergeant Jeff Muncy.
