Police: Suspect jailed after alleged Dollar General robbery

RIVERSIDE — UPDATE @ 3:05 p.m.:

The suspect from this robbery — identified as Joseph Bey, 25, of Wyoming Street in Dayton — has been captured, police said. He’s being held in Montgomery County Jail on a count of aggravated robbery. 

UPDATE @ 10:30 a.m.: 

Riverside police said they are looking for a man who held up a Dollar General location Thursday morning.

The suspect, only described as a man, displayed a gun and took off with cash and cigarettes around 9:15 a.m.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene on a bike, but additional suspect details were not released by police.

Police have responded to reports of an armed robbery at a Dollar General location in Riverside Thursday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the business at 2300 Valley Pike around 9:15 a.m. after the crime was reported.

Initial reports indicate a man displayed a weapon and took off with cigarettes, before the suspect fled from the scene on a bike, according to police scanner traffic.

No injuries have been reported.
